Interpersonal relationships
in the 0 ā 3 stage
WeĀ understandĀ interpersonal relationshipsĀ inĀ the stage ofĀ 0 – 3 yearsĀ as aĀ fundamentalĀ part of childrenās developmentĀ inĀ theirĀ first yearsĀ of life.Ā WeĀ think that theyāre not given the importanceĀ itĀ hasĀ inĀ the classroom and theyāre not paying enough attention to it.
WeĀ consider that from theĀ observationĀ of the different relationships that are establishedĀ inĀ the classroom between equals, we can obtain a great deal of information about the personalityĀ ofĀ our kids, their preferences, etc.
Based on this information, we can introduceĀ dynamicsĀ inĀ the classroom to include less integrated children, encourage the establishment of relationships between those who normally donāt play together, enhance the feeling of belonging to the group,Ā etc.
Relationships at this stage go far beyond words; we must observe the contact, the looks, the smiles, the games, the complicity between the children, the voluntary groups, etc. Paying attention to all theseĀ factorsĀ will make it easier for us toĀ understandĀ andĀ analyzeĀ the relationships that are established in our classrooms.
